People with vicious dogs may be vicious too

People who own vicious dogs such as pit bulls have significantly more criminal convictions than owners of licensed, gentler dogs such as beagles. 'A vicious dog" means a dog that, without provocation, has killed or caused serious injury to any person, or has killed another dog. I think choosing to own a vicious dog is a maker of social deviance because a vicious dog is a socially deviant animal.

Because a dog is a certain breed does not make it vicious. There are many pitbulls who are goofy, playful, and affectionate and there are many service dogs who are pitbulls that are true heros. The dog is aggressive because of the way the person treats it. And more deviant people have pitbulls and treat them poorly because they are a dog that flies under the radar and people are afraid of even if a dog never did anything to them so they don't tend to care as much if a pitbull is abused. If a little tiny dog was abused, more people care and try to stop it. Beagles are probably more abused by people than pitbulls. Labratories breed them for research, people keep them as hunting dogs locked up in a cage, never to snuggle on the sofa with a family.

Firstly, I hope you aren't so ablaze. Pitbull is only an example. A vicious dog, said in this discussion, is a dog that has killed or caused serious injury to any people or any animals without provocation. It is fact many pitbulls are playful, even hero. This kind of pitbull have undergo cultivation, a pitbull educated is not a vicious, but most of wild pitbulls are vicious.

You did say "a vicious dog such as a pitbull or rottweiler" which indicates that you believe pits and rotties are vivious. You didn't say "a vicious dog like one that has attacked someone with no provocation."

I beg to disagree. It depends on how the person treats and trains the dog. Even if you have a gentle looking dog, but if you train him to hurt or attack other people, then he wouldn't be gentle anymore, even though his looks suggests he is. I own a terrier. He's a lively, quirky dog. But I want to own a rottweiler too. And a rott's reputation is vicious. So what does that make me?

I have to say again, "A vicious dog said in this discussion is a dog that has killed or caused serious injury to any people or any animals without provocation". What you said is very right..."it depends on how the person treats and trains the dog", I agree with you, that exactly agree with the opinion..."look the dog and you will know the owner is".

I agree with you but think there are other myLotters that will totally disagree with you. I did a discussion some weeks ago about pit bulls and many responders weren't happy with my thoughts. We've always had very gentle, happy dogs and now a cat who is extremely friendly.

Firstly, thank you for your sustainment. I don't oppose to foster dogs, in fact, I really love dogs. Most of training dogs are good, playful, and useful, but the feral is dangerous, maybe vicious. Training pibulls are very, very useful.

A poodle can be a vicious dog. My aunt had a chihuahua (the Taco Bell dog) that caused severe damage to my cousin's face, neck, arms and hands because he wouldn't leave the dog alone. That 6 lb dog caused between 50-100 stitches on his body to close him up. I have a pit bull mix and I am not violent. I don't knock over gas stations or rob people.

Aha,thank you for your agreement. What you said is penetrating..."LOOK THE DOG AND YOU WILL KNOW THE OWNER IS". In fact, many countried and cities have enacted the dog's owner must take on the responsibility to limit their dogs, and to pay for the loss.
