Hypothyroidism

I am just curious as to how many of you mylotters have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism? How did you know/or what made you get tested? Do you take medication for it? Does it actually make you feel better? How did you feel before hand? Anything and everything on this topic is what I am looking for... I was just recently diagnosed and I am looking for some insight?

I haven't, but I have several friends who have. One of my friends got tested because she thought she had cancer she felt so bad and sick all the time. She started taking the medicine and feels like a new woman. She has lost weight and has regained her energy!

My son has it and it was because he was putting on weight and they just did the test with others. They said it could be because you feel sluggish also. He is in a wheelchair already and we could not tell that end of it.
