No, God cannot do the logically impossible. Does this mean that the LORD is not powerful because He cannot do certain things? No! Even omnipotence is subject to holiness and TRUTH. God cannot do things which are contrary to His own nature. For example, God cannot lie or learn anything new. What this means is that He can do whatever He desires in order to accomplish His plan and purpose.

There is no way that God can lie. The reason that God cannot lie is because to lie is to sin and sin cannot exist in the presence of God. So if God were to lie God would no longer exist, therefore as soon as God thought about lieing he would no longer be God since as the Scriptures state, "If thine eyes sins against you pluck it out as it is better to enter heaven with one eye than not at all." Sin cannot exist in the presence of God and if God were to lie he would not exist.

Therefore, Yes He can not lie because lying is a sin and God has no sin...and thus Lying is impossible for God to do...

God can not look on sin becouse he hates sin, not that he can not sin. God chooses not to sin as is therfor perfect becouse he does not CHOOSE to sin. God created all things including what we call evil. Noone creates but God, Satan did not create it he choose it, as man chooses to sin. At one time we read in the first book of the bible after the flood man was still sinning, even after promissing not to destroy mankind and the earth agin God thought to destroy man, but remimbered his promiss and repented of the sin he thought to do to man. So god thought about breaking his promiss to man wich would be lieing, he thought about destroying all mankind, wich would have been a sin aginst man. But he CHOOSE not to, that is why he is holy. It is not that sin can not exist befor God as we read Satan goes befor him constantly to accuse us, it is that we sinners are not able to stand before him and him look upon us for all our sins. This is why a sacrifice for our sins were needed for God to be able to see us without our sins. With God all things are possible, just not all things probable

Thank you for your response. Lucifer is Satan. For he all he tempts us with is sin, he has but lies and things that are false for us. It is God who is our Saviour. He is the Father of Truth. He cannot sin and He is the Captain of our souls, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

As omnipotent, yeah sure he could recreate himself such as he did with the Savior, but here comes the flaw in this.... Being OMNISCIENT he would have to know his purpose so for him to split in order to sin would make it sin for the original as well as he aided in the process of sin thus no longer GOD. Yes Theology is a very hard and difficult study that I have taken up. I have reverence for all of the religions of the world although I ascribe to none. I have put in a lot of study and this was one of my test questions long ago and that is the only reason I could answer it. Theology is a continued cycle of proofs and counter proofs, beliefs, dogmas, creeds, etc... and it truly is a pain in the backside to study unless you are studying just one (ie: Orthodox Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Catholicism, etc...) and even then when you get past the dogmas, creeds and beliefs it can still get rather confusing. Exist twice simultaneously? Did I not say that there are things that God cannot do? Even if God could do what you say I know for a fact He would not do something so utterly stupid. There are things that God cannot do. Omnipotence does not mean being able to do whatever you want, for even omnipotence is subject to its own holiness and truth.

Yes, we can't be all good because only God can be. We as humans that means all humans are sinners. We have committed to doing sin or creating sin because that is within our nature just as lying and being good is within God's nature...What we can do to become a better human being is to follow Him and walk with him...We can only become better humans but we can not be a perfect being...no one is perfect except God...
