I haven't tried XP yet and don't know if I ever will. When I got my computer I specifically looked for one with Win XP on it becausse of all the stories I've heard about Vista. The people helping me agreed that it is too soon for Vista to be totally user friendly and is very hard for people to get used to and to learn how to use. I wish I could help you but I know nothing about it. I'm sure since your laptop is new that you have Tech's that can help you with it. If not start checking out all the help sites that are available. Good luck with your Win Vista!

I install windows xp. I don't think vista is better than xp. Vista is imperfect, there are lots of bugs in vista, and vista is not compatible with other many system, so you had better instal xp or other windows systems.
Vista's exterior condition looks beautiful, but vista is not pratical.

i use XP and i like it's user friendliness. i want to install Vista but i'am not sure if it has support for XP programs and i have heard that it works slow on PC's with old configuration so i think having dual core processor is a must for runing Vista

Windows Vista as an andverced Operation System edtion,is obviously better than XP,you can experience faster processing speed, and enjoy the more friendly window. As you said Vc+ can't work in Vista,Perhaps it's Vc+ software that has some problem, try to Re-install other edition Vc+,if it still doesn't work,Re-install XP instead.
