As a mother you try and protect your child as much as possible but sometimes you can't be there all the time. I know a case where this wonderful mom lost her daughter way to early and not to her fault, you see there was this driver who was going 50 mph in a 25 mph zone her daughter was going to the bus stop to get the bus for school well do to the fact of speed he was going he hit her and didn't have time to stop. when he hit her the force knkocked her out of both of her sneakers and a sock and threw her 11ft. She was still living but in a coma. she stayed like this for a little bit tile on feb 1st the doctors said she had no move fliud movement through her brain. Which means she was brain dead. The mother had to take her daughter off of life support and say goodbye this happened two yrs ago and here is where it gets worse. Nothing happened to the guy that hit her daughter he still has his license, he still has his vehichle for goodness sake this man who wasn't paying attention and speeding through a 25mph zone right by a major play park for all the neighborhood got nothing, a slap on the wrist bad driver. what do you feel should happen? Remember this girl was on her way to the school but sh was 16yrs old, old enough to walk to the bus stop herself. I'm outraged that this driver didn't get more.

That is so sad that the mother had to go through all that. Giving the ok to let your child go off life support would have to be one of the most horrible moments of your life I can't even imagine and pray I never have to go through it. The man who did that should be locked up for manslaughter.

wow thats horrible. I think you are right. the driver should have been put in jail for manslaughter. i can't believe he didn't get anything. did the mother sue him? she probably could sue him. i'm sure that money wouldn't make things any better for the mother, but atleast something should happen to the guy. I couldn't imagine losing my child.

I couldn't imagine losing a child either it's been two yrs almost and she can't even talk about it without crying. I don't think she sued because when she was talking about it she said she went into a depression afterwards ... Who could blame her. i think the state or city prosecuter should have went after the guy becuase I don't even think I would be in my right mind to sue the guy at the time, I'd be to upset that my daughter was passing before me. Kids should almost always out live their parents.

That is horrible. The driver should have been prosecuted, convicted, spent time in jail and lost his license. Vehicles are killing machines if someone behind the wheel exercises this type of behavior. This man has destroyed at least two lives, taking one. My sympathy goes out to the mother, but I know that is not going to bring her daughter back.
PEACE
