I'm looking here at my dismal earnings report and am now wondering, if I spent this amount of time, searching the streets and garbage cans for recyclable bottles and cans, I'd probably make more money, plus I'd be also cleaning up the environment and getting some additional exercise.
What do you think?

Thanks for your response but I have yet to really find any particularly thought provoking discussions on here, although I have attempted to initiate them. I think the majority of these posts promote the most mundane and banal issues imaginable.

I totally agree. The problem is that so much more of your earning potential comes from quantity of posts than quality of posts that it encourages quick and dirty posts that are likely to get lots of responses, like "Lets count down from 999." It's a problem.

Well, in the region that I'm located, New York, you can bring your recyclable bottles and cans (those participating) to most grocery stores, feed them into the machine, and receive either vouchers for cash or coins directly.

You may be right about not having to leave the house but damn, I think whatever cyptic method mylot is using to calculate earnings is absurd.

Indeed, the only problem is that recycling programs are not universally available globally.

You're probably right. But I guess this is better for us lazy folks that want it to be easier than getting off our hind ends to do real work, since most of us already spend most of our day doing just that (real work).
For me, this is just a way to clear my head and sometimes the mundane or familiar conversation is just what I need to relieve my stress.

Yes, there's always the increased words per minute factor to consider.
