largest amount of cash at one time was a little over $46,000. I didn't feel happy, I was scared Sh__less! I had to rush to the bank with two of my closes friends as body gaurds.

Sore subject lol! It was actually twenty five thousand in notes (£50) sterling, which I had drawn out of my account with prior notice naturally, after all my bank might run dry! as if... Anyhow I needed the cash for the deposit on our home, and it was only a case of going from one place to another but I felt so self conscious and yes if honest a little scared stiff and I couldn't wait to get rid of it. I felt like a marked man walking around that, as though all eyes were on me!

I think it was Rs 5000 or Rs 7000...not more than that. The cash given to me for home expenses usually fall in that category (at a time)..but it's kept in a safe place and I take as and when I need cash. But when I am travelling, my husband usually gives me so much in cash and I carry it along. Come to think of it, once we paid the school fees by cash and I think there was about Rs 20,000 in cash that I had in hand.

The largest amount that I had in my hand at any one time was $4000.00. I do not remember why I did not have a bank account at the time, but I had to keep all of that money hidden in my bedroom. It was very unnerving. I had won the money in a settlement for my bus accident. I was not badly injured, but I was certainly traumatized. I was getting off the back of the bus. One foot had made it down to the street. I was halfway in and halfway out. Some how the doors to the bus closed on me and the driver was dragging me down the street. When the doors opened, I fell out on my face. The driver said that the bus malfunction. The bus was not supposed to move with the doors still open. God spared me, I know that accident could have been so much worse.

when we ransacked Berlin in 45' we found a cache of gold ingots that our commanding officer took off us. it had to be 40 ingots + so long ago but i remember the sacking with pride.
