The Simpsons have been considered the best animated series for years. The stories are hilarious and the cast of characters rivals the very best sitcoms. It has been a mainstay with the American audience for years. The newer kid on the block has been Family Guy. It is crude and rude. It is also very adult and really very funny. The commentary on social values comes under direct assault. Family Guy is not for everyone but for those who like it, the show is excellent.

Family Guy is hands down, the funniest show out there on TV. Sure the Simpsons have broken a remarkable episode and season running shreek, but that is simply for the fact that they have been on the air for longer. That Stewie, he is too funny if you ask me. I would put American Dad in front of The Simpsons as well. I believe that The Simpsons are losing their flavor.

I love Family Guy I prefer that over the Simpsons. I think Family Guy is way funnier than the Simpsons. I can laugh a little when I watch the Simpsons, mostly because Homer is so stupid but I nearly bust a gut laughing at Family Guy.

It will be interesting to see if Family Guy survives as long as The Simpsons will. Personally now that I am 27 I much prefer Family Guy. I think it is better for an older audience. I've always loved The Simpsons but in the last few years Family Guy has had some pretty no holds bar episodes. They are not afraid to say anything it would appear. I have to say good job and to those who find it offensive it is simply a mirror of the world we live in and a pretty good one at that.
