Interest ratings? Helps you earn more?

I have been off from myLot for past 6 months, when I came back today, the first significant thing I noticed is this Interest ratings. What is it? I see a level, as well as a rank? How many levels are there? (I am myself at level 16, is it good or bad?). What is the ranking? Does having a better level/ranking, give you more earnings per post? Anyone help me know this better.

I'm not sure if this rating can make you earn more, but in my opinion this is just for us to know what interest do we need to levelup. I'm playing on-line games thats why i know about this kind of stuff. I think this interest makes more sense when you want to level and become rank number one in that interest section and build your popularity here in mylot.

Yeah, but I feel the interest ratings reflect the quality of your post. So, that should help you earn more as it could be used as a yardstick to gauge your posting quality. That is why I was asking that. I have been away from myLot for quite some time. So I need to get in synch with it again.
