I probably will not go the day after Christmas....but the next to see what deals I can get. For years I have never paid full price for paper, ribbons or bags. I also pick up stuff like ornaments and stockings to use next year. Are you planning on going the day after Christmas to take advantage of the hot deals?

i have no desire to shop anymore! i don't really think i need anything at all. I probly should sell a bunch of stuff that i have lying around on ebay after christmas. you know, we really do not need half the stuff we own. and i would rather save my money for vacation!

Yeah I think the day after Christmas can almost be as bad as the day after Thanksgiving !!! I never shop on that day, I have a home based business and I do a big sale myself after Thanksgiving, where my customers can call me and place orders and get a discount, they love it !!!

I usually wait to buy Christmas decorations a few days after Christmas. On Boxing Day as the day after Christmas is known in Canada, most things are marked down to 50% off, but a few days after that, they're down to 75% off. Sometimes the selection is a little more picked over, but I managed to get my Christmas tree a few years back for only $7! I do go and pick up clothes and stuff if I'm in a mall or store on Boxing Day though. I found some great deals yesterday!

I got a few things for Christmas next year....and some new stuff to organize one of my rooms! The crowds weren't too bad!

really? I thought Boxing day was the day of huge sales, not 2 days after christmas. I've withheld on some buying since I don't mind getting stuff for myself after christmas. I suppose the trade off between HUGE sales are the HUGE crowds that go along with it. yup, perhaps I'll get a christmas CD and some ornaments to store for next year since i think i plan on doing more entertaining next year.

Actually I am working the day after Christmas so I won't be shopping. I've heard there are good deals out there following the holidays but haven't taken advantage of the sales. I do, however, need to shop before the second week in January for our grandkids since they are out of town for Christmas and their mail is being held. If I plan this just right, they will have their gifts shorty after they arrive home. Always see on the news the stores are just jammed packed with people returning items they received for Christmas so I'll wait a week or so before I venture out.

I've found the sales after Christmas haven't been all that great for products in general. For decorations they are pretty good, but sometimes you can wait until after New Year's and have better luck

I plan on doing what you are, going the 27th, the day after the big after Christmas sales. I can't the day right after Christmas. People are just crazy. My parents always brave it, but I don't even want to try. However, I do want to take a look at the remaining sales because my sister's birthday is February first, and I need to get her a birthday gift. Hopefully I can find something she will love, but will also be affordable for me.

Well you might be able to score! From the sounds of it the retailers have lots of stuff left! I also find they drop it a few more percent as the days go by to get rid of the stuff! I am kinda anxious to see what's left!

I have to work, so I will not get to go out shopping. I'm sure the traffic will be bad though, so I will have to leave extra early.
