Can some one help me how to maintain stock in my business?

Friends! I am running my fathers business which mainly consists of sale of lorry and bus parts in wholesale.The shop is a fairly large one.But since past few months we been losing customers, unable to mantain stock.Can anyone suggest ideas to maintain stock or tell a software to maintain stock in shop?
