would you like to know your Christmas gift in advance?

My nephew was grumbling because he wanted to know what his present was before Christmas. I told him what difference does it make if you look at it a few days before Christmas when you can freely open it on Christmas. I didn't understand him but I just remembered I was like that when I was a kid too. I wanted to know what my parents would give me for Christmas. I don't know why but I was just happy to know what they would give me ahead of time. I just realized though, it somehow spoiled my Christmas fun for me. Instead of being surprised all together during Christmas, I was kind of half-surprised only with the other gifts.

I was (still am) curious, but not enough to want to know what I got until Christmas morning. And his excitement over what he got me this Christmas is making me even more curious lol

Update, He finally succeeded in talking me into opening one of my gifts! He just couldn't wait lol, and I guess it is a good thing, now I have some studying to do! yep studying, he got me a new camera!! and had me open it early so I could figure it all out! lol, he had already charged the battery and everything though. I was totally surprised, because I never mentioned a camera, however at some point in the past 3 yrs, I mentioned that I was into photography and had one competitions when I was younger!

Well, I guess it's human nature to be curious. But I do enjoy the suspense as much as the pleasure of opening the presents and discovering what they are. :-) Hope you have a wonderful christmas!

I've never wanted to know ahead of time what my gift was in advance...it kind of ruins the surprise!! I think when you're a kid, you can't stand the anticipation of waiting. I'm with you, I think getting one early spoils the fun.

I don't just want to know it, but I receive it always earlier. For instance this year I got a mp4 player from my dada week ago, because I wanted it so badly. And a couple of days ago I got a webcam fro my mother.Nothing has changed so far since I always get my presents earlier than Christmas day.It was so ack in the days of my childhood. My barbie dolls were waiting under the Christmas tree days before Christmas eve.
