I watched an episode of Manswers, and it talked about how professional beggars can earn a lot of money. A beggar can easily make $10-15 an hour by asking for money.
What do you think of this? Have you tried it before, or know someone who did? For me, I haven't but I did wonder about it at one time.

I don't know about this. i would be embarassed to stand around and ask for money. I did do it on a website one time. You know the savekaryn thing. but I didn't get anything really. Maybe a couple of bucks. It was very disappointing.

I never tried it myself, but a friend of mine calculated that a guy asking for money on the street (doing some kind of show when the light is red, maybe trowing some balls in the air or something, we have a lot of those here), and having a rough day he may get no less than 20cents per red light, and you have like 60 red lights per hour (think he uses boths streets, hwn one's red the other's green) so he easily makes $12 an hour. Working 8 hours daily (not on weekends) that would make over $2000 a month.
And that's if all drivers are mean and he gets only 20 cents per red light, let's not forget that!
I should probably quit architecture and go beg...
=)
Merry Xmas!

Not me personally but I had a friend that used to travel back and forth between Indiana and Pennsylvania and they would just stop at rest stops and have their kids beg for them and told how they would come away with a full tank of gas and like a hundred bucks.
Personally I think it was kinda low. Being in a tough spot is one thing, and understandable. But they would do this routinely.
