when i was in my teen years i was a member of our parish church choral group. and every christmas season we raised fund for the poor by caroling from house to house. i have this friend al. she is quite talkative. will we were walking to get to the next street she was a talking and talking then suddenly we cant hear her. we looked around and could'nt find her. she fell down on a open manhole. luckily it was dry. we are all laughing on what happened and she was laughing too. and the last thing we heard while we were all laughing was "can somebody help me get out of here?" it was great laugh and everytime i hear carolers it reminds me of al.

LOL that's a very funny one roni! good thing your friend didn't get hurt. and she even laughed about it! maybe she imagined herself and thought she was funny. ^__^;; i can't remember any funny caroling memories but i did experience caroling when i was a kid and during my college days. when i was a kid, me and my friends would go out at night and will go to every house in the neighborhood, singing our hearts out hoping we can come up with huge money that we will later on divide to ourselves. LOL i remember i saved those money and used it in buying pan de sal every morning. ^__^;; during my college days, i was a member of an organization and one of our activities was Christmas caroling. we would send letters first to the houses that we were going to and those usually were our alumni. LOL we raised funds for the organization's "reach-out" activity which we do to give fun to kids of remote towns. ^__^

When I lived in my old neighborhood about 20 years ago a group of people came and rang the doorbell. It was evening and my mother and I weren't expecting anyone. When we answered the door they were carollers and they sang a song. We thought it was neat. The neighborhood was a new development. We've moved to several places but that was the first and only time that's happened.

I have stopped carolling after reaching high school, my funny exzperiences were way back during my grade school days. I say that it's fun because we go to places where our parents don't get to know, we sing songs to our hearts and make sure that we impress the house ownwer's of which we sing christmas carols at. I also can't forget the times where dogs were the one's responding to our songs, some people get too grumpy at times eh?!LoL I have noticed that these things are done different right now, kids would start carolling even to the first weeks of the month of December. They just sing to songs, then the last one would be a "thank you" song. Then they'll yell at the folks inside the house, as if they need to earn their money. Times change, the essence of singing christmas carols are different and some kids are just after the money. =(

I wish I would have had a caroling experience. I am upset that people in Winston-Salem are not as enthusiastic about christmas caroling as others. Perhaps I should start my own carol. If I were to christmas carol however, it would have to be at my neighbors house. She is the sweetest old lady, and quite nice as well.

In one of the Mr Bean series, I hv seen some children sings carols. Mr Bean's attitude towards those carol singers is pathetic as he shuts the door right infront of them.

Well, there was one house that as soon as our group stepped onto their lawn, I think it was an old lady who came screaming out the door brandishing a pile of what I think was rocks, because we ran like the wind out of there. That didn't stop us from caroling the rest of the night though.

i dont have a funny story like that lol! but when i was in highschool our choir always went caroling to the local convelasant (sp?) homes/retirement homes. it was so much fun and the seniors at every place would crowd into the room we performed in, and would sing along! it was such fun and felt wonderful to see them smiling and singing with us!
