Last 22nd December in my country we had an official celebration for Mother's Day.
Too bad i didn't have the chance to congratulate my mom.
Mother's Day means more than just a Mother's Day. My mom never really know in what date she was born. Her mother, which is my GrandMa was passed away not very long after my mom was born. Her father was, which is my GrandPa work outside the town, so he didn't know the exact date when my mom was born. Usually, me and my sister celebrating Mother's Day as her birthday, but since a year ago I live in a
different city from her, so this year I didn't have the chance to celebrate her.
Does your country celebrate Mother's Day ?

Yes, we do celebrate Mother's Day but on the month of May. We observe it as a sign of great respect and love to our mothers. I personally thank my mother by giving her card and gift. I wrote in the card how greatful I am that she is my mother.

Yes we do. But my country's mother's day is like different from your country. I remember my country's mother's day is near April, or around April. :) We always do celebrate.. I'll treat my mom to some gifts, or a dinner. And we even have Father's day too! It's a great day to thank your parents.. but don't leave it till that day to start!

We do have Mother's Day over here in Texas, but I do not celebrate it, since my mother is no longer living. She would have been 103 years old two days ago.

In the USA, we celebrate mothers day in May. I think it is the second sunday in May.
I always celebrate mothers day. I celebrate my mother and my kids celebrate me. We usually all get together and take my mom out for brunch. I have 3 sisters and their families along with mine always get together for my mom's mothers day celebration.
Then in the afternoon, I spend the day with my kids.
We usually just hang out, watch movies and do no work around the house.
I think that is wonderful that you and your sister celebrate your mothers birthday on your mothers day.

I'm in the US and we have Mother's Day and Father's Day. As a previous poster said, it's in May. (Mother's Day)
Both me and my sister do something special for our mom. Since the day's on a Sunday and my mom has church that day, I'll get her a corsage to wear for her dress, as well as something special for her. Last year I bought her a beautiful potted plant for her porch.

Wow, that was so sweet of you to celebrate Mother's Day as your mom's birthday. Here, we celebrate it every 2nd week of May, if I'm not mistaken. My siblings and I usually give our mother flowers and chocolates, and we also cook for her.

In the Philippines, Mother's Day is celebrated in May. In Dubai, the place I grew up in, it was in March. So we sort of greet our mother twice a year but the one in May is the one we really celebrate. Aside from her birthday, it's one of those days we can really show how much we love our Mom. We get her gifts and try not to upseet her during the span of the day.

I am from the uk and celebrate mothers day on the 2nd March this year and this is great as it is my birthday on the 3rd so me and my mum do something extra special together to celebrate the both together as I am also a mum as well.
We never by gifts as my mum would rather have a simple I love you and a brilliant day with her children as these things will always be in her memmory un like gifts that can be here one day and gone the next.
