How do you deal with relatives who often ask money from you whenever they are in financial distress, as if you can always provide for what they need.

There is always a polite way of saying no. As a frugal mom as you are, there are times when we need to put a stop to the relatives' financial request.

i agree. it's funny when you are trying to save for yourself and for your immediate family, even if you wanna buy things you want and ended up not buying it because you have to save, then someone would just knock and ask or borrow money because they need it. thanks for the reply.

That's not a problem for me. It is not that members of my family have plenty of their own money, it is that they do not want to see me laugh in their face. If relatives asking for money is something happening regularily to you, than I suspect you are far too kind and compasionate. The next time someone asks you for money come up with something they can do for you to earn it. Don't pay them in advance.
