Did anything go wrong during Christmas?

On the christmas morning, I had an impromptu thought of baking a nice cake, but I forgot to check the baking time and it turned out burnt. Good thing is that it is just an extra and not something that is expected by anyone in our party in the evening. Did everything went right for you? Please share. Thanks in advance.

The house maid had eerything fine, except she poured too much salt in the vegetables dish that was to be part of the variety of dishes to make good christmas table

Sure did! My sister and I were invited to Christmas dinner by one of her well-to-do friends. The dinner was really exquisite, featuring foods, such as oyster, which I had never eaten. To make a long story short, I sampled them all so as not to insult the hostess. Even before we left the house, I felt an urge to go to the bathroom but ignored it. Then during the ride back to my sister's house, I began to feel very uncomfortable. Luckily for me, that ride wasn't very long and I was able to run to the bathroom. I had a diarrhea. So obviously, one of those food or food combinations disagreed with me, but since I had sampled so many, I have no idea which one was the culprit. In any case, I learned a valuable lesson. When it comes to eating or even sampling strange, exotic foods, just say no.

My husband ordered my gift online a couple of months ago. It didn't arrive when expected, so he called the company to get the shipping status. Turned out they forgot to ship it! They assured him they would ship it right away to get it here for Christmas. He checked in couple of days later, and they still hadn't shipped it. They finally did ship it, but I had to take time off work to be home to accept the package delivery on Christmas eve (my husband couldn't get the day off). So I had to accept delivery on my own gift, and try not to look at the package (so that I wouldn't ruin the surprise). So the gift arrived just in time. But when he opened the package - it was the wrong item! He wrapped it up and gave it to me to have something to open on Christmas. But now he has to ship it back to exchange it for the correct merchandise (after stressing over whether it would get here in time). But it's okay, I should have the correct item shortly - and he saved a bundle buying it online from this particular store. But in the grand scheme of things, this isn't a big deal. We had a wonderful Christmas, and count our blessings and good fortune.

Haha..sounds like a big dramatic episode. :-) I'm sure it will be another funny memories for both of you in years to come. It's so thoughtful of your husband to still wrap it up for you to open it. Good to know you had a wonderful christmas anyways. Have a great new year ahead!
