i agree its too expensive, the one i have before the expensive one is a microsoft wireless, and i really do like it, but its got loud keys, and my hubby is ROUGH on the keys, and he space bar makes a funny noise when i hit it now and i'm going to beat him with the broken keyboard over his head.

It's like shoes you need to break them in.
I tend to buy ones which are already easy to press, trust make wonderful light touch keyboards that feel normal yet are brand new. my brothers is awful for the reason you need to press harder and even then it sometimes isn't hard enough =)

I took that crappy one back actually! and i got a ..CENTRIOS keyboard.. And i am having a problem with the space key on it.. SINCE i bought it. So i took a closer look at it todya and the space bar is ACTUALLY pushed in on one side, i guess they sold something to methat someone else brought back. Well i'm bringing it back tommorrow! But i really like the keyboard, its quiet and light touch, except the spacebar!! i guess it better be good for a 50$ keyboard.

I hate when that happens.
My wife and I bought some cordless phones, one worked fine and the other did for so long and then the screen went. Personally I think the "manufactures" should re-claim them once sent back and re-check them.

Oh, I also have the rubber keyboard which is flexible. But I didn't get it for so expensive. I bought it for only less than USD10. I find it difficult to type as well, as you really have to type hard on the keyboard for the words to appear. But one thing good is you can just clean the keyboard with water when it's dirty.

may be you should give your new keyboard a second chance. It is always the case that when you get a new keyboard, you would need some times to get adjusted to it. After a while you should be able to use it quite efficiently. It happened to me as well.

emh normally not..if i change the size or shape the keyboards i think my speed to write it down is not low as my old one and so on..another discussion if you change the country setting of a keyboards such as i have the habits to write on a european one..that is diffeent from us or other countries who have another alphabet as chinese, jap, hindi, hebrew and so on...so probably if i change the order of the letters due to international setting or standard it is possible my speed writing on it will be less than i have habits to write it!!

It depends what kind of keyboard it is. I've had good luck with some and bad luck with others. One thing I have trouble with is getting used to those keyboards they use in Europe. The layout of those is a bit different than the ones we se here in the U.S.
