Desptop is better for home users but if you move a lot then laptops are best suited to you.

My only computer is a lap top. In fact I don't think I can work a regular mouse.

I do prefer to choose desktop compared to laptop. Desktop are much stable and comfortable to use. Laptop is portable and can be used anywhere you want; that's one of the advantages of laptop.
Desktop can be upgraded easily while laptop is very hard to upgrade. :-)

i like using my laptop than desktop. i could bring my laptop to bed and dining table (sometimes). if i want to let others see what i have on my screen, i could just show bring them closer to them. what is essential i think is the mobility that a laptop can do for me.

Laptop, because I can sit and relax on the bed like I'm doing now with my laptop. Haven't had desktop in a long time.

I am more comfortable with a desktop, always. Even though they are more "bulky" then that of a laptop, desktops can easily be upgraded to fit the user needs. Also, laptops can easily be broken when dropped, whereas desktops are more rugged and durable.

I have a special place where my desktoop is located. I kind of built myself and office within my living room/dining room. I have it tucked back in a corner that is blocked off from the other part of the room by another desk. I don't know if I could use a laptop because of the a relaxation/privacy problem, I love my desktop.

well its depend upon need
if you have work on home then desktop is not a bad idea but i prefer laptop being it is handy and you can carry anywhere you want though it is more expensive than desktop

Depends on what I need to do, really. If I need to go somewhere and diagnose an issue, I'm not going to bring my desktop with me.
If I'm going to play some pretty hardcore games, I'm not going to boot up my laptop and try playing on an integrated graphics card, either :D
