...Does any one else have...or did you have that lost feeling after you graduated college...I just recently graduated with my degree in social work and I am currently seeking employment asking my self everyday...so what did I go to school for? I know the purpose of going to school is to better yourself and futer your education, but with that you'd think it would be also be easier to find employment with a college degree...anyone else agree? or been in the same rut?

I wondered why I went to college after I graduated too. But, your college education helps you in alot of ways you don't realize. You probably don't realize it but your alot more intelligent by going to college. Just things like critical thinking skills are developed in college, and that helps you make better decisions. And it is easier to get a job with a college degree, but its still hard to get a good job its all about networking and using your school career center and people you know to help you get a job. Plus it would be a whole lot harder to get a job without a degree

You now concentrate for couple of months to get practical knowledge, if your college education had not given you one. Also try to send out your curriculum vitae to the industries (Human resources department) or some organizations which requries the services of socialwork oriented graduates and keep working and keep earning.
