I'll admit that there are many good people on government assistance who just need a helping hand to get them through some tough times. But let's face it, our welfare system has become a "way of life" for far too many people who are just plain lazy!
A friend forwarded this e-mail to me the other day that I think really hits the nail on the head. Here's what it said:
"Like lots of folks in America, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check since I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone who is sitting on their BUTT, doing drugs, while I work. Can you imagine how much money we would save if people had to pass a urine test in order to collect a public assistance check?"
This makes perfect sense to me. What do you think?

This is what you and I as a good citizen do as a charitable act to the menace of the society. We work and work for the workless people who cannot take care of themselves.
I just hope that the welfare act from the citizen to the government would be a realization that if rehabilitation fails, then the lazy people would turn out to be lazier ones.
One thing we could look forward is that, the recipients of this welfare hopefully would make a turnabout of their life to be good citizen and so our sweat and blood we contributed to the welfare will be worth it!As for the estimated savings???Well, it was already wasted, LOL!
Life sometimes is just unfair but what can I say...
Excellent discussion mcjustin.

In many cases rehabilitation in the way of job training does help. But it only helps get people back to if thats what they really want. As I said before, it's those who simply want to take the system for all they can that need to be weeded out...The Lazy Ones!
Your thoughts are alway appreciated mcjeannie.

In many cases rehabilitation, job training for example, does help get back on their feet. But only those who really want to provide for themselves. As I said before, the problem is those who don't want to work and would rather take the system for all they can...The Lazy Ones!
Your right mcjeannie, sometimes life is unfair. But we should never stop trying to right the wrongs in life.
Your thoughts are always appreciated mcjeannie, Thanks!
