I love hearing gossip.

So do I! I love hearing gossips too..but only when they talk about the happy things. I hate it to hear about talks of gloating over someone else's miseries, especially friends and relatives I am close to. :-)

Oh for heavens sake, everyone loves to hear gossip, even those who deny it like to hear or read what is going on in someone else's life. Why do you think those magazines are still selling like hotcakes on a cold morning. Gossip is what keeps us aware of everything around us. This forum thrives on gossip. Otherwise we would be doing something else with our time. Not hanging out at Mylot "gossiping".LOL

Nothing much can be done with gossip. It is only to satisfy some peculiar needs of human brains I suppose. I also keep away those who indulge in gossip. I consider it as one of the perils of the soceity.

Gossips and the liek truly make the world interesting. But as human beings, we need to be receptive with the reactions of others. We may have hurt someone or a group of people with our actions. We need to take hold of our actions.

I can live without it and try to avoid conversations that ditz others. Gossip is just that.....stories based on half truths. And spreading half truths can destroy some people and their reputations. Maybe scandal helps famous people because it attracts attention to them. But in normal lives it can be very distructive.

I personally do not like to hear about gossip. All gossip does is cause more problems that lead to even more problems. Even though some of the "juciest" gossip can be quite entertaining, I try to stay away from it as much as possible.
