Even I get tired...

I've been rather absent from mylot for a few days now. It surprises even me, because usually you can't keep me away from here if you try. I love this place, and I love many of my friends here, and I enjoy the discussions... even the silly ones! :P
I've been tired the past few days lately, though... logging on and seeing the responses I had to my discussions and thinking "I should get back to those", or seeing new discussions that I could reply to, but just don't seem to have the energy.
Do you ever get tired, even of things and people that you enjoy?

I think with the number of friends I have, my inbox would be flooded if I used those notifications. Not to mention that it's already flooded with various junk I've signed up for over the years and emails from my friends. I have to force myself to go sift through it every day or two, and it's really not fun for me at all. So that's why I prefer doing mylot straight from the homepage: email has become a chore for me over the past few years.

Hey girl- welcome back! :)
Yep I get tired too even of people I love sometimes you just poop out ya know. Then you have to take the time to rest and get back to it a little more refreshed. I do anyway and usually feel more productive to boot.

Happens to the best of us I think, life has a way of making you tired about anything. But hey, a little break and you'll be back as good as new ;)
(Hope you have been well, belated Yule Blessings!)

I did mine pretty much on my own, though my son was present for part of the celebration. Nothing like a 1 1/2 year old boy to drum up energy for anything! :P
Imbolc is actually one of my favorites, and I'm a little bummed that I forgot to ask for it off, and now the schedule has already been made. But it's a short shift that day, so I should still have plenty of time to celebrate. :)

Like I always say, its good to be alive, the alternative is deadly ;)
Actually Yule plans got canceled coz my pagan friends were all busy (that and I was recovering from a bad case of gastric flu..) but I'm planning to make up for it when Imbolc comes around. Brightest Blessings for the new year gal!

Hey Lecanis,
I guess I have been tired too. I went back to work so when I finish I don't really feel like sitting here any longer. Or maybe I just don't feel like I have anything to say. I don't know.
I guess there is something in all of us that need's a break from time to time, even from the people that we care about and love. It's understandable honey!
Hugs, Bay xx

I'm sure I will soon hon. The project I'm working on ends Monday so I'll have to see what I'm doing next. I just want to get away from this chair and the computer at the end of the day!

*laughs* I get the whole "old before my time" thing too. I'm 27, but I have a lot of health problems and a really messy history... so it feels like I've been through a lot to get to where I am now.
Good luck in the future, and try to have some fun! :P

OH yes!
I love to come here too, however I have taken quite a few breaks here and there.
I know it's time for a break when I log in and nothing seems to interest me, even topics that I usually enjoy discussing.
If I insist and stay my responses really fall down in terms of quantity and quality and I know that I need to stop for just a bit . Then I come back and everything is fine.
That happens to me sometimes in other things as well. I sometimes just need a short break and then when I come back everything is great again :)

I must admit, I'm relieved to learn you're a mere mortal like the rest of us! It always seemed like no matter what time of the day or (mostly) night I was here, there you were; so you do get tired! Seriously, it happens to all of us. There are times when even the things I normal enjoy the most is simply too much of a chore to bother with, you know what I mean? We all need to take a deep breath and chill-out now and then and just relax and try to do absolutely nothing! Glad you're here now and I'll look forward to chatting with you for the remainder of the year and next year, of course! Happy New Year!

I have been getting so tired lately I cannot believe it. I am working again it is only 45 hours a month but it is a lot when I have not worked in three years. With the Holidays I have had so much extra things to do by Christmas eve I was so tired I was sick. I was so dizzy, I was jerking, and very nausious. I could hardly stand and had more work to do. My son's girlfriend came to the rescue and sent me to bed and finished what I had to do. What a life saver I slept for an hour and 15 minutes and was able to go to christmas eve dealings with my husbands family.
I am not trying to catch up on the hours I missed at work. I am still so tired but I will get the rest of the hours in to send my time card in tomorrow.

Oh, Teapot, it sounds like the holidays were so hard on you! I'm lucky that my friends and I don't do anything too big... my hubby and I only had our son and one other guest, so no pressure there! I'm glad that your son's gf was tehre to help you out!
I know what you feel about working only a few hours but feeling like it's a lot... I'm only allowed to work 4 hours shifts still but I feel like they're more tiring than the 8-hour ones I worked before I got sick! I hope we both do well though! :)

Right now, I'm exhausted. My husband and the boys are home for two weeks. That means that I have to prepare 3 full meals every day. That doesn't even include the 500 tamalies I made for Christmas and all of the other fixings. Not to mention intertaining all of the guests. I won't have much time for MyLot next week either as my Husband and sons will still be home.

Wow, that does sound pretty crazy!
I have to admit I came off lucky with the holiday thing. We had one friend over, and he brought some food, and my husband cooked the rest. My contribution was watching my son while the hubby cooked. I would have cooked something, but people wanted food that actually tasted good. *giggles*
I hope you get a good rest soon!

at times, i feel tired and uninspired to log in and respond. that's why it takes an effort to bring myself to open the computer and log in. this has happened rarely. most of the time though i wake up and immediately log in to see a little increase in my earning here. it is rewarding to see my earning move up a little bit.

Yep. I haven't blogged in a week. I have watched my traffic slip further into the dust while I just can't seem to get the energy or the desire to work on the blogs. I have however been here and noticed you haven't been around much and have missed you. You add a lot to myLot and are one of those that makes it a great place to be.

Yes, I do lecanis. So tired and with it usually achy, stiff and moving is difficult and uncomfortable. It's debilitating and takes precedence over anything I find enjoyable. But even the fatigue can be tolerated and worked through but the sleepiness and dropping of to sleep mid sentence sometimes cannot be endured.

Every now and again that happens to me, yep. I have enough varied interests that I'll often go off and do something else if I don't sleep or go more into meditation to settle my restlessness or to help me relax so I can manage my energy just a little better.
But yeah, it happens to me on mylot often. Which is why it may be a couple days til I reply to some things on here..but eventually I do get them.
It wears off after a little bit, thankfully. Or else it would bug me.

I always have to make myself do productive things, especially housework, which I despise. :P
Mylot is usually a fun thing for me, though, so I was surprised a few days ago when I came on and just didn't feel like it. That's pretty rare for me, even though I've been here a whole year almost.

Hello lecanis!:-)
I hope you and your family is doing well.
I rarely get tired but when I do, I have my own weird way to deal with it:-)
What I do is to push it further so that I am no more tired. I do it because I like to leave things with pleasant look, memory and feeling. For example, if I am tired of my work, I try to work more until my interest is redeveloped; refreshing me and giving me energy and then I leave it. When I get tired of someone (not because of him/her self but some behavior), I seek out some more pleasant aspect of that person/personality and when I realize that I am no more tired of him/her, I excuse myself from company. When I get tired of sleeplessness, I don’t try to sleep rather stay more awake and vice versa. Sometimes, I get tired of not being tired, I rest until something calls for my action and then I don’t have to think about not being tired. There is probably one thing though that I can’t push further upon if I get tired of it and that is my self :-) It’s when I break the rule and seek others rather than being with my self.

You do have a really different way of dealing with things! It's amazing that you can refresh yourself that way... if I force myself to do something I'm tired of, I just get more and more tired of it. The best way for me to refresh myself has always been meditation personally, but I'm a bit overly spiritual, so that shouldn't be surprising. ;)
Thanks for sharing with me!

What? Get tired of Mylot!?!? Never!
j/k
I have some days where I get on a roll and others where I don't post at all. It also depends on what is going on in my life.
I do get tired of things that I enjoy. Quite Often when I like something I do it all time. For example, when I get a new cd I love, I'll listen to it over and over for 6 months. After about 6-12 months I've had enough... and don't go back to it until a couple years later.

I have some days when I don't post at all because I have too many things going on in my life, but usually then I at some point think "Oh I wish I could get on mylot." Yep, I'm that big an addict. :P
So it was weird to me not to want to!
I don't do that with music. I can listen to the same music over and over and never get bored. I'm just boring I guess!

lol its all good. I'm a gemini so I have the whole split personality thing going. I like one thing one minute and another thing the next!
Honestly there are a lot of days when I don't even think about mylotting. I'm currently unemployed and have run out of money so I'm at home a lot lately.

Yes, I do; both online and offline.
Offline: Back in my hometown, there were these people whom I loved to visit all of the time. I would visit them practically every day and had a blast! But after doing so for a few months straight, I'd start to go there and then just think; "bleh!" I suddenly just didn't feel like visiting them. I needed a break! Then it'd be a week or two before I would visit them again.
Online: The first online community/forum I ever joined was Hazzardnet.com (that's a fansite and forum for the "Dukes of Hazzard"; original tv show, not the '05 movie. I'm a Dukes junkie, *giggles*).
Anyway, I usually visit the site daily and post in the forum. I really enjoy it because I am a big fan of the show and, there; I get to interact with other fans. However; there are times when I get temporarily burnt out on that too, and stay away for a few weeks.
It will probably happen to me here, eventually, but I haven't been here that long yet.

Offline I get burnt out far more quickly than online. I'm not good at dealing with everyday life, I think. :P
Online there have been tons of sites I've wound up leaving because I started to feel too "obligated" to be there, because people would freak out when I was gone for a few minutes it seemed!
Hehe, I have a cousin who is a Dukes junkie too. :P
