How to survive in the new wildy?

Some days ago i went to bounty hunter to test out the new pking thing. The be sure that i didn´t lose anything i took all my stuff into the bank. Then i went in. So i were walking around in the cave when I saw a whole clan running against me. I died in about 5 seconds. I were eating like a pig, but it didn´t help. Thats why the new pking system is bad. You can´t fight 1 vs 1. When you try to do that you will probably met a whole clan and be dead.
So how do you really survive?
One way is to join a clan, but then u wont get any good items.. (You can, but if the clan is full of people it will be hard to get anything) So i don´t know other ways to survive. Do you people know any?

Pick a world with a lot less people on it for one. Your then less likely to run into a whole clan then. You could also form a small clan yourself with one leader calling the shots. 5 or 6 people focused & coordinated well could pick off a larger clan easily.

Jagex noticed this and is working on a 1 on 1 fighting arena soon. coming out in januaray through Feb.

The only way to survive is to either be very lucky or have an extremely high combat level.
