csi or csi:miami?

which csi series do you think is the better of the two?
although csi:miami is the more flashy of the two, to me it feels like its still missing that little something that the original csi has over it. i dont know what to call it, but it lacks a certain seriousness to it. even though the original has lost some of its kick from earlier on in its beginnings i still think its a better show overall.
what do you think?

Can't beat the original CSI. I, too, like Grissom. His is a terrific character and William Petersen plays him so incredibly well. There's not a character in the show that I don't like. I prefer the writing in the original CSI as well as the directing. I watch CSI Miami and CSI New York, too, but it doesn't break my heart if I have to miss them whereas don't bother me on Thursday nights; I have to have my weekly CSI "fix."

I agree with you both in that Grissom is a great character. I can't think of any other shows on tv that have such a strong character who is both stern and yet has a compassionate quality about him. On a lighter note, have you ever noticed on CSI:Miami how Horatio's head starts to tilt to the side when he's engaged in a serious discussion? Just something that always bothered me.

Yes, that little head tilt and never looking people in the eye drives me absolutely crazy about Horatio! I'm so glad somebody else feels the same way. I just can't imagine why he does that. I think that's why I don't care for that character so much.

I definitely like csi better. Maybe because its the original im not sure. But i do think csi miami is better then csi new york. Which doesnt make much sense because they are all by the same person.

I like both shows. I think CSI is the best of the two though. I love Grissom.

I love the original CSI far more than the other offshoots. CSI tends to place more focus on the actual evidence and science behind the crime, whereas CSI Miami strays into sub-plots and personal drama. As far as lead characters go, Grissom holds far more intrigue than Horation. Grissom is a science man, an intelligent man who solves puzzles. Horatio has his puns, and he is always chasing villains and demons. Also, something about the orange filter used in CSI Miami bothers my eyeballs. My vote stays with the Las Vegas team!

I prefer CSI also, I do like Miami, but I do find it a little hard to watch Horatio sometimes, with his hands on his hips and his tilted head and his cheesy one liners, I guess its good that all three shows are different guess thats why they've all been running successfully for so long.

It definitely has to be CSI, Grissom Rocks!...however Miami comes in close second, the story lines are really good on Miami and characters are really convincing.

tottally...Grissom Rocks!Although i didn't like the actor on older movies he simply amazes me the way he works with his character!And the episodes have much better stories and are much more well written!

i prefer the original CSI (Las Vegas) better, thanks for asking. I dunno, but there is something about the original one that keeps me coming back each week. you are right, the miami version is flashy, but i think the script is cheesy and the casting is OA. the blond girl in the miami version is not so good. even david carusso isn't fit for the role either. oh i still love the original version and its cast! and i love it that greg has already evolved into an investigator.

William Petersen is so great in CSI:Las Vegas that this is an easy question. He is must see television on Thursday Night. The rest of the cast is enjoyable, specially the rarely seen lab people who were great when all of them worked together. I rarely watch CSI:Miami.

I like them both about the same, but I have to say that CSI still gets the number one spot if I have to choose between the two. Grissom is my man!! Smile!!

I think that csi is the better of the two i still like all of the other ones but csi is like uses their personal lives in it the others don't the main guy just lets the other ones do the work

I think that CSI Las Vegas is the best, because it's closest to the real CSI
