Do we have to be careful when clicking on avatars too?????

I was just reading a discussion about a "money making" opportunity a member wrote about but didn't actually say much about. He/she also hadn't responded to any of the questions the responders had asked. Out of curiosity I clicked on the avatar of the person who wrote it and my computer got weird! I got a white page and a security warning came up that I couldn't get rid of without actually logging off my computer and starting over again. When I came back to mylot the discussion seems to have disappeared and I can't find the members name in any discussions!
Is it possible to get a virus or something just by clicking on an avatar? Has anything like this ever happened to you?

Unfortunately I didn't write down the name and I only remember a few of the first letters. I've been searching for the discussion or the member and they seem to have disappeared. I have a feeling that mylot admin was in the process of deleting it while I was reading it. If I do run into the name again I will let everyone know.

You are so right! The majority of members here aren't the mean type and just want to make friends and earn money. Nobody is here to purposely to ruin other members pc's like this one seemed to me to be trying to do.

yeah that is very scary...some people have nothing else better to do with their life and for fun they do some stupid things that end up hurting others but they don't care...the world today is worst than before...people had respect for others back then...

This is a bit worrying. I have not had that happen to me. But the way you describe it suggests there was a virus imbedded in the avatar. That coupled with the fact that this person had not responded to any questions makes me quite suspicious.

I have not had that particular problem happen, ctry, but I have visited a friend's page to leave a comment and my computer froze up on me. This has happened a couple of times, so I remembered whose page it was so that I will be careful not to visit their page again.

Sometimes pages freeze if there is too much going on on the profile pages. I know that sometimes slows mine down. This brought me a white page that filled my monitor and a security warning that was very scary!

So far so good with my computer. I do have a virus that was quarantined. Not knowing much about these things I'm hoping that's good enough. You're right, there is always someone trying to ruin everything for everyone.

Wow, is that scary or what!...I would scan my computer for viruses if you can, it just doesn't sound right at all. My computer did that once before on a website (not Mylot) and it found a very mild virus which was quarantined immediately.
That really is disgusting...you just can't get rid of that crap no matter where you go....losers, that's all they are and it really makes me angry. I think I get spam from here too.

I remember way back when I started people were talking about a similar problem when they visited a certain person's profile...and then that person's virus or whatever affect each of their profiles as well. It got fixed somehow and that person was never an active member so I suppose it could happen with an avatar too. Probably anything can be uploaded if you know what you're doing.

Wow now thats scary, I hope not, I have enough issues I dont need a virus to compond it, even though my computer is barely a year old I had to replace the mouse and now I might have to replace my keyboard as well it keeps skipping letters and stuff. So I hope that is not the case.

This only has a little to do with the subject matter of the post. I will be listing "money making ideas, money making websites, and any other money making subject" in a post if I get the time and I just wanted to let everyone know. Since I am exploring a multitude of different ways to make money at the moment I apologize before hand if there is some delay in response but I will try to answer questions as soon as humanly possible. Oh yes and if you have any questions about any money making opportunities that you are currently exploring just ask me and if I have had experience with it, I will shair my knowledge of it with you.
It may take me some time to get around to creating the post but my title will be "My finds for money making opportunities" in it I will discuss any money making opportunity i find that seems interesting and answer any questions about them to the best of my ability. So ask away!
