Happy new year to everyone. I hope your new year is fruitful and meaningful. I am not pointing out what is my new year resolution for this year coming. I think i have to come to the office early. Not always late. Finish job request on time. Not to be moody hehehe. And.... but i cant think of any thing anymore.
How about you, what is your new year resolution?

This year, i dont plan on having a new years resolution other than let the chips fall where they may. I gave up on those loooonnngggg time ago. Like saying your going to lose 25 lbs or get a new job, or stop being such a pooh or something. I believe that everything will happen when its supposed to happen.

Hi, happy new year and welcome to Mylot. I posted a discussion on resolutions and most who responded share a similar view to mine...I no longer make 'resolutions' per say. One fellow said that resolutions are a recipe for failure and in my work as a life coach, journalist and group leader I tend to agree. People often set VERY unrealistic goals and then beat themselves up when they cannot meet their own objectives.
In my view there is a different feel to setting DO-ABLE goals within reasonable time frames than making global statements and long lists of things that would be nice to achieve but often hard to do in practical terms.
For the coming year I plan to 'keep on keeping on' with the positive flow I ended this year on and do my best to establish clear, well-thought out plans and taking steps to achieve them...consistently over time. Not much different than how I have been living my life for awhile now...and what we encourage our clients to do as well.
Goal setting and goal-getting involves planning, discernment, boundaries and above all else...time management begins and ends with self-management. Without that any goal or resolution is bound to fail.
Anyway, that is my spin on it...good luck with your resolutions. Hope this time next year you will be giving yourself a big pat on the back for what you were able to achieve.
Cheers..
