I decided to learn one idiom each day. Here is the one for today: Apple of one's eye It's the favorite object of a person's love or affection. " Linda was fond of all the horses on the rach, but the little palomino was the apple of her eye."

How many idioms have you posted so far? Why don't you post the links to all so people can learn all the idioms in one sitting.

I see that this was posted about 4 months ago. And if you learn one idiom a day that means you have almost learned them all. English is full of idioms and they vary from one region to another. That is why it is important that we learn at least the most common ones. One of my favorite idioms is "beats me" which means "I have no idea."
