I am very much open minded and it depends on how the person delivers his or her advise. Most of the time they are my true friends and their advise are much appreciated.

For me i listen to advices given by people especially on important matters but when i have set my mind on one thing..it will never be changed. That is how stubborn i am. My father thinks he knows everything when talking to me that is why i dont like asking for his advices, he has been running my life for 28 years now..i think its time to do it on my own.

I am always seeking advice, in fact I thrive on it, I need it to help me make decisions in my life, sometimes a friends or indeed a virtual stranger giving you advice and assistance on how they would deal with your situation, be it a hypothetical one for them is a great help indeed! People look at this site for therapy and advice in making decisions so bring it on!

I don't mind advices as long as it is from people who really care about me and is done in a nice way. I do not like unsolicited advice from strangers.
If the advice is literally only to point out a mistake and not constructive (even from a loved one), I get grumpy and don't like it one bit. But if it is constructive and put across in a nice way, I consider the advice.

The best advice I ever got came from a most unlikely person. Eddie Murphy said that the best adviceis to never take anyone's advice. I think that is both funny and accurate. They also say that people who ask for advice are only looking for an accomplice.
I don't mind listening to most people's advice. I have a rule that I listen to everyone and then agree with myself. But there are people who will offer advice and they have no idea what they are talking about and that annoys me so much.
I mean they will insist that you do things their way and they have no idea what they are talking about.

This can be a very touchy subject. I generally don't like un-solicited advice. It also depends greatly on the person giving the advice and how much I respect him/her. It also depends on the matter in which the advice is given.

Advise given by a friend is always welcome. However if someone advises me and I just met that person I might not take take that advise lightly, especially if I didn't ask it. Sometimes its good to give advise, but if the person did not ask for it just keep your mouth shut. Like they say "less talk, less mistake". Right?

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Often it depends on the person giving it. My mother giving me advice usually doesn't work out well, but friends like Laura, Stephanie, and Elaine can usually get me to do ehat they want me to do.
