You should try this simple prayer. Before going to bed just say may tomorrow and all the coming days be better than yesterday. For best result take a deep breath once and exhale before saying your prayer

Yes, I also say a little prayer before going to bed. Usually, lt almost the same prayer. I always pray that tomorrow will be better than today for me and my family and I pray to god to forgive me and my family on anything that we did wrong during the day knowingly or unknowingly and also let there be peace and harmony among all the people of the world.

hi subha! ^__^
we weren't used on saying prayers before sleeping and after waking up even if my mother tried to tell us to do it. i do think that it is a good habit for kids to learn and if i would have children in the future, i would teach them to do it and might even pray with them to make sure they grow up with that kind of habit. ^__^

i always try not to forget to pray before bedtime. it's a practice i want to teach my children. my 5 yr old son prays with me "angel of god, my guardian dear, to whom his love commits me here. ever this night be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide. amen." then we say a spontaneous prayer that comes from the heart. i let him say to god whatever it is that's on his mind/heart. usually, he thanks god for the food and toys and asks to protect a loved one who isn't living with us like his grandparents.

I do pray every night, sadly it has become more of a routine rather than a prayer, I ususally say the same thing. Asking God to watch over me and my family, to keep us safe and have peacefull and restful nite.

Yes I do have. No matter how sleepy I can be, I still pray, even if I'll have to lie at my back praying, as long as I can thank God for another day that passed by.
There are things that I pray the same thing everyday and there are prayers that differ, depending on the needs that arise.
Each night, I pray to thank God and ask Him to be with the entire family as we slumber the night away to another beautiful morning. God bless!

Yes we do. If I am right, this practice of praying everyday before we retire has come to us generations after generations and we have taught our son too. This is a good practice and needs to be cotninued in the generations to come. It gives peace of mind, it gives extra confidence and strength.

I used to pray a lot of things. Like financial freedom, perfect health, etc. But when I get to know our real God and Jesus.
I need not pray for any of those in that way..like asking Him for all those things. Because I just learned that God has already given us His blessings. He just waiting for us to proclaim it--as our inheritance. With Jesus we already have everything. We just need to know how to pray it.:)

Hello dear subhal. I am not used to say anything to myself before I retire for the day. Everything just goes as it stays. Thanks.

Hi subha, I no longer pray in the sense that most people think of prayer, but I do like to feel at peace before going to sleep at night. Never go to bed angry or upset is a rule that I try to follow. I believe that life itself, how we live it, is prayer. Blessings.

We are not in the habit for the end of the day. We do pray. Our daily prayer is said at the dinner table. We have given a simple prayer to our daughter to say before we eat. We thank you god for our food and Family. We promise to try and be very good. It's good practice for her.

Hello subha12,
When I was a child I would pray every night before bed. As I got older, I got away from this. I consider myself to be a very spiritual person. I was brought up Baptist and am now religiously nondenominational. I believe in prayer and grew up praying before meals and before I retired. I think I should get back to this because more and more I am starting to realize food and rest are a blessing, and I will pray for this for everyone as well as myself.

Yup I do. I always thank God for all the wonderful things that happened for that day, ask for guidance/help in life and pray for something that I want to happen in my life.

I'm ashamed to say that I don't any more. I used to...but now I'm just waiting to drop into bed most nights. My son still continues and his prayer (like mine earlier) is different each day. He thanks God for all the nice things that have happened to him that day, asks pardon for the mistakes he committed (as long as he thinks they are mistakes) and asks God to bless everyone of his friends and relatives (that he likes). He also prays that the next day God gives him the power (yes, that's the word he uses) to be good.

We talk to God thru praying and God talks to us thru the Holy Bible. We do not have to memorize our prayers. Whatever we need even at the moment we should request God in the name of our Lord Jesus. We should specify in our prayer what we want God to do for us and we should always ask for forgiveness of our sins.

Hi, For me prayers are one big relief and mental strength, through which I could openly talk and convey all my feelings. I do pray at mourning and night rarely it is not done if I forget. Prayer for me one of my inner strength it boosts my mental fitness and mental strength. The assurance of God will take care is more than any thing for me.
