This has always been one of my favorite movies. Use to watch it every year with our kids. Do you enjoy watching the Wizard of Oz?

The Wizard of Oz is my all time favorite. I would watch it every year when I was growing up and along with my kids when they were growing up. My grandkids are now watching this movie too. It sends an important message that no matter where you go in the world....there's no place like home.

I agree. There is no place like home. Our grandkids are a little too young and not in town but look forward to watching it with them when they are older. Thanks for responding and happy new year.

Hi Carol, Oh Yes!! I thought everybody loved the Wizard of Oz. lol. We watched it with our four kids, all grown now. My youngest dau. would leave the room when the wicked witch came on, she is now 27 and pregnant with her third baby. She recently let it out that she still leaves the room when the witch is on. lol lol...such good memories.

The wicked witch of the west had that scarey voice as well as her looks so I can understand your daughter being afraid. Our oldest daughter always cried her eyes out when Dorothy was taken to the Land of Oz. It scared her when she was taken away from her aunt. Once we got beyond that part of the movie it was smooth sailing...lol Thanks for responding.

Those were the good, ole days. Back to childhood when we didn't have any responsibilities except to be a kid. Thanks for responding.

I loved it as a kid and we watched it on TV every year. At some point I burned out on it though. Now I don't really enjoy watching it anymore. I don't know, but some things are just like that. It is one of the greatest movies of all time though. After all, how many movies have touched that many people?

It's the only movie I watched over and over again as a child. It does lose something along the way as we age. Thanks for responding.

hello carolbee. Yes, I enjoyed watching the Wizard of Oz. This also has been one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. My favorite part of the movie was when they were singing "Were Off To See The Wizard".

Yes we do. It is one of my daughters absolute favorites. We watch it all the time. It's a comfort movie on family movie night. This year for Halloween my daughter chose to be Dorothy. An easy thing with her dark hair. She is four and we started a Christmas tradition where evry year she gets to pick out an ornament pertaining to something she did during the year. Hallmark had a Dorothy ornament,it is now of course hanging on e tree.I love that she is so connected to a peice of movie history. We are learning "Somewhere over the Rainbow" she loves to sing it. Evwn if it is a bit off key lol.

Wow, sounds like she's really into the Wizard of Oz and Dorothy. How cute. A bit off key is fine at age 4. I'm always a bit off key and I am decades older....lol Thanks for responding and happy new year.

I love the "Wizard of Oz"! It is one of my favorite movies as well. I love the scarecrow and tin man and the cowardly lion too. It's a lovely little magical adventure! There are good values and lessons taught in the movie as well.

I remember the first time our oldest daughter watched the movie. She cried when Dorothy was away from her Auntie Em. What a classic movie. Thanks for responding.

I enjoyed watching the Wizard of Oz when I was a small child. I guess it was because when I was a child, I was just in to the imaginary plot line that it had to offer, and not the "graphics". However, now that I am older, and now now that the Wizard of Oz was nothing but a metaphor of the politics that were going in the United States at the time, it no longer interested me. This is because I am not one to always get into politics. I find them to sometimes to be biased, unfaire, and arguements that are not backed by concrete evidence. If one truely observes the Wizard of Oz, they would find this same thing true.

Interesting concept. I viewed it as a fairytale type movie once the movie went into the Land of Oz. Thanks for responding.
