Hi People !!!!!!
The way indian cricket works I feel very soon Rahul Dravid will be axed from Indian test team as well. Selectors somehow want Yuvi in the team and to accomodate him they have promoted Dravid in the opening slot and the way sehwag was included in the squad I feel if dravid misses out in next couple of innings he will be shown the door..
Personally I feel he is best test batsmen outside india for us but I dont understand why he has gone into his shell he can play much better than this

I do not think that Dravid is in danger of his spot just yet. I believe he has strong believers in the selectors for the longer version of the game. Yes, for one dayers he does not fit in the longer picture, but for tests he is going to be around for another 2 years at least.
He is still a bit off his form, and I would prefer him to grind out and look for scoring opportunities in this innings to get out of this poor run.
Cheers!
Ram

Hello,Indianprince! cricket is a game of uncertainties.when all other batsmen failed to compile runs why should we blame Dravid.after all he is not playing in his position.he is given the risk of opening the innings knowing it quite well that he is going through difficult periods.moreover you know the condition of the pitch.the game plan should have been deviated and Sachin or Ganguly should have been picked up for opening the innings and Dravid could have been sent to his own position.this the team management would have arranged.according to pitch condition they could have rearranged the batting order.however, the first inning's failure should not be repeated and they should try to save the match at ending with a draw.Dravid has saved India always, have faith on him, he will not betray what so ever.he was the wall of Team India, and he has the strength to day even.just watch patiently.thanks lot.good luck to you and Team India.good luck to Dravid.

Yes, I too feel sorry for Dravid. He is a fine batsman, nothing extraordinary, but he has been a pillar of strength in the middle-order of Indian batting lineup. His one and only mistake (I think) was to accept the captaincy of the team. Even under normal circumstances, it’s a thankless job as an Indian captain and the situation in which he took the responsibility was very volatile and bound to affect a person’s personal and mental set-up. And then not everybody is suited for the captain’s job. By nature Dravid is an introvert and he should have continued with the good work with the willow. After that, it has been all downhill for him and even in the ongoing match against the Aussies, he scored just 5 runs in 66 balls in the first innings! This is definitely not expected from a batsman of Dravid’s caliber. It is only upto him to come out of his self-exile and reinvent himself as the skillful batsman that he is.

I dont think that selectors will commict that mistake taking off from ODIs they have some reason that he play slow and present situation is T20 but its not the case with tests.if you see yuvi also not played well in first innings with aussies and he is doing well in ODIs but not in tests.

I agree but I dont feel Dravid is in good books of selectors. They see future in Yuvi rather than Dravid thats what I assess of the situation..Thanks for sharing your opinion

I can't imagine the team without rahul dravid especially in test matches...He has been the wall for india for many years..He is in poor form..If he is not there in the team there would be a pshycological advantage for the opponent team..Its for sure..I am confident that dravid will get the form in right time ..ALL THE BEST DRAVID...
