If haven't enough money , I cannot buy sth I really want ?

Many people around me always tell me that , but , after i grew up , i doubt it , can't we find other ways to buy one sth we really want ?

i always feel that i don't have enough money to buy me what i want. as i age, i have my wants getting greater in number. i think i cannot satisfy myself if i measure my satisfaction on what i can buy. i think it is good to measure what i want according to my means. this is what i have, then this is what i will want. easier said than done.
