This type of language was started by the internet users of the early stage of internet. this is being used up till now.such type of languages confuses the newbie. LOL, what does it means? Some say that it is abbreviation of laughter out load, some say laughing out loud. And few say laugh out loud. Who is correct? I don’t know. Such types of wordings are confusing. So I do not like to dare to use them. My English is not good. I want to speak good and correct English. So in my opinion this is not positive to use such type of abbreviations in our writing.

LOL Laughing Out Loud
That has been around for quite a while. I saw this years ago in Yahoo chat room.
Then almost everything got cut down to letters that mean longer words. I think it must have been some geek who didn't like to type who started it and it became a way to talk or show emotions . Must have been before the smileys arrived on the 'net.
Sometimes you will see others like BRB(Be Right Back) ROFL(Rolling on floor laughing)
LMAO (Laughing My A$$ Off) BTW(By The Way) IMHO (In MY Humble Opinion) The list goes on and on. You should try to make out some text messages on the teens Cell phone it looks like a bunch of stray letters or something you can't read, but most teens can.
It does save a lot of space and time.
