Should cops be allowed to chase?

I've seen so many shows about this. Should cops be allowed to give chase for any reason? In my opinion, if someone is running because they don't have a license, innocent people could be killed. I've seen it happen too many times. On the other hand, if people know that the cops aren't allowed to chase, they could run and get away with the crime. I have mixed feelings, how about you?

I think the individual cop should make that his own choice based on if it is safe. We need more helicoptors for that though ,too many ppl do indeed die because of this.

I'm glad you responded to this. We do need more helicopters. I think it's Baltimore that has the law where a cop can't chase in the city limits. I just wonder: are we telling the criminal that it's ok to run. Ya know?
