Is There Something Special Your Mom Or Dad Taught You?

The older I get the more things I can see why my mom or dad said some of the things they did. Their legacy to me isn't so much what they could give me or leave to me when they passed away. Rather, it's the little comments or things they said to me along with saying, "someday you'll understand what I mean". Those days come more and more as I get older. I can think about something and visualize one of them saying something years ago that didn't make much sense. I smile when this happens and just say, "Thanks mom and dad". Is there something special your mom or dad said to you or taught you when you were a child that you remember today?
