I really want one of these too! and i asked for a ring for xmas too! but i didnt get it. I guess its good cause i'm expectign so i'd have to either GUESS at the new birthstone, or get a new one again next year. I will want my birthstone in the middle and each of my daughters on each side of mine. I guess that is kinda like a daughters pride, but for mom isn't it?

I don't have one, but I would love to get one with all of my kids' birthstones in it. I have 6 kiddos, so that would take up a lot of room!

I think it would be very pretty to have that many stones.

No, I don't have a mothers ring, though I have always wanted one (even before I became a mom :P LOL) as some of these rings are just beautiful! If I was to get one I'd put just my kids birthstones in it, though I also like the idea of one big stone (representing the mom) and smaller ones (representing the kids) surrounding it.
I know my mom has wanted one for some time. Maybe I should get her one as she's always been there for me. :*)

An alternative to the mother's ring is a necklace that you can have your children's birthstones in. They generally look like little people with the stone for the belly. They're kind of neat, and you never have to worry about your fingers getting swollen and not being able to wear it, it also is a way to represent all of your kids, especially if you have more than one child with the same birthstone. They're pretty neat actually.
Because of my occupation, it is hard for me to wear rings with stones in them. The only ring I wear is my wedding band, which is titanium, because I do not have to worry about it losing it's shape should I smash it. I work with horses and saddles and such and found that my first wedding ring that had a large diamond stone that stuck up was constantly getting hung up on stuff. (It was actually from my mom, that she promised to me as a wedding ring) I eventually had the stone setting lowered and that was some help but not enough. Then I divorced, and gave the ring back to my mom, and this time around, my husband and I opted for the titanium bands.

I have been wanting to get one with just my sons birthstone they have a new design out to where you can have their name and birthday engraved on the outside of the band for every one to see. Maybe for my birthday or christmas next year I will be able to it.

I only have 1 child, and his birthday is in May... so I think I might just get myself a nice pretty emerald ring sometime. I'd love to get my mom this mother/grandmother pendant I saw awhile back. it was 24 karat gold and was shaped like a tree. You could get as many as 10 birthstones on it, which would work out perfectly, since she has 4 children/step-children and 6 grandchildren. It would be a nice mix of stones, too... As far as I know of, there are 2 in January, 2 in May and 1 in March, April, June, August and October. I don't know when my step sister's birthday is though.
