Do you have a christmas vacation?

I work at a place that closes for the holiday season. My last day was on December 21 and I don't start working again until January 7. My girlfriend though has 2 days off for Christmas and New Year and her regular schedule. This kind of prevents us from taking any kind of real vacation. We usually end up going home to visit both our parents in the same city and sometimes friends in other places. It's only a little more than a 2 hour drive home so it's not much of a trip.
Do you take a vacation for the holidays or are you stuck at home working through most of it?

Here where I stay, we do have a Christmas Vacation. My Christmas vacation consists of a 2 week long vacation. It is well deserved, if I do say so myself. The reason why I believe that it is well deserved is for the fact that I have worked so hard all throughout the school year, and now it is finally time for a break.

I work at a GM site which goes on shutdown. Our last day was also December 21 but I go back January 2. Same situation as you with my girlfriend; she's a CNA at a nursing home and as a matter of fact she had to work Christmas day. She gets every other weekend off. And because she worked christmas, she has New years day off. As far as traking trips is concerned ours is more because we couldn't afford it even if she had a week off.!

Hello my good friend. i rarely stop working as i am always in demand. on christmas day i spent it looking for a bar that was opened to help the lonely.
i like to do that as i am incredibly handsome.
