Credit cards are terrible! If you want my honest opinion, do NOT get a credit card. I have two, with a total debt around $2400. It's terrible. You miss a payment and they charge you $50 just for missing it. The interest rates are terrible and are NOT fair at all. It's all just a giant scheme to make the companies rich at YOUR expense and put YOU in debt. If you need a card of any type, use a debit card. They have all the same features and capabilities as a credit card, except instead of being loaned money, you're using money that you already have in your checking account. So, you don't end up with a giant bill for it later on, and not to mention, a ton of interest.

I would have a debit card for general use, but only get a credit card if absolutely necessary. With a debit card you can only spend money tthat you have, but with a credit card you are borrowing money and paying back i9nterest so there is more chance of debt problems.

Hi Cindy405777, I strongly suggest to you not to apply for Credit Card. I am here below givng you the advantages and disadvantages of Credit and debit card. CREDIT CARD ADVANTAGES: You will be given a credit limit based on your income. You can buy any thing using credit card even if you do not have money. You can draw cash using your credit card in case of emergency. Evey Month you will get a bill. You can pay only 5% of the bill amount.Remaining will be carried over to next month. DISADVANTAGES:Big Interest rates, make you land in debts, temts you to buy providing some offers, makes you loose peacefulness, makes you a worried man. DEBIT CARDS: There are no disadvantages. You can use this card only when you have money in your account. No interest will be put. Good Luck.

i would only go for the debit card,as you can only spend your own money.it is too easy to buy everything you want on a credit card, but harder to pay back with all the interest you have with them.take it from me it took me forever to pay back my credit cards, and i cut them up and i only use my debit card now.cheers sue

my best suggestion to you would be start off with a debit card, then this was you can learn how to manage your money well. This way if you over spend at least you wont be charged allot. With a credit card you can get yourself in a lot of trouble if you don't know how to manage your money or don't have the money to pay it off. personally I have a debit card and i love it, i like knowing that i am spending money that i have and not spending someone else money that i have to pay back. good luck.

It would be any anyones best interest to sign up for a debit card. The reason why one should sign up for a debit card is for the simple fact that there are more benefits from the debit card. There is no interest charged onto a debit card, whereas on the credit card, if you make a charge, they will put interest on it, and interest on the interest. That is never a good thing. You can do the same thing with a credit card, as you can with a debit card, and vis versa. Paypal, which many paying sites pay through, also accept debit cards. So in answer to your question- you should get a debit card.
