How do we get rid of the odor of paint fumes?

My brother recently had his room painted. What do we have to do to remove the smell of paint? When can the room be slept in again?

The last time I painted my room, I opened all the windows and doors and have the fan on for 24 hours. I spray air freshener around the house too. Having some aromatherapy oils helps me to sleep in the room the very next day.

I would definitely try opening up some windows. And i wouldnt sleep in the room for at least a couple days. Those paint fumes might make him sick.

I'm not sure, but I've seen this one from a friend of mine. They put absorbents inside the room, from fruits to artificial absorbents. As for fruits, they put oranges or pineapple and any other sweet, good-smelling fruits to absorb the smell of paint..
