Well, i dont think there would be much impact at the moment as she was not in power since 14 yrs
so policies with India will remain unchange
Take care

She was not in power but surely she was going to win the election and would have given Pakistan a better shape with the removal of terrorist outfits. she would have worked for the betterment of the citizens of Pakistan unlike the Pervez musharraf's Dictatorship.

I haven't following this story like i should so this is just a guess. If they find out that the murderer was Indian, then India would be in big trouble. But if he was from Pakistan, I don't see how this would effect India.I know India and Pakistan don't get along but how should this effect India?

This would effect India in investing money in defense, which could have been used for welfare purpose. Many Indians have a lot of relatives in Pakistan and such a situation over there makes them concerned for their loved ones.

Pakistan has been giving shelters to terrorists and allowing them to launder the money in their country. Secondly Pakistan or for that matter any muslim country is averse to democracy. They believe in the fundamentalists and violence through dictatorship. Tyranny is common in most islamic countries. Religion is the rule of law in most of the islamic countries.
It is the same terrotists who had taken shelter at Pakistan have raised their ugly head. These actions are highly condemnable.
India has to be careful with Pakistan with international trade. There is nothing we want from them to enhance our economy. They can buy what they want to increase our balance of payments.
I donot see any windfall gain or loss, due to departure of Benezir.

Definitely they had been giving shelter to the extremists and now they have raised their ugly head against Pakistan itself. It is said give milk to a snake and it will bite you some day or the other.

I don't know, but it can't be good. There was the tension of Pakistan and India both testing bombs underground a while ago. Benazir sure did work to bring compromise to her country. even if she didn't quite get there, and she really had the best interests at heart for her fellow people. What do you think will be the impact on India?

I think she being the Prime Minister the tension between both these brother countries would have eased and bilateral ties would have given boost to both the economies. Now as she is killed both the countries would start hoarding up arms thus utilizing the money for defense purpose which would have otherwise have been used for welfare purpose.

In the current scheme of things, it is not a big impact on India as she was not the current PM of Pakistan. But, of course the growing power of the terrorists and extremist in Pakistan is worrying sign for India. Given their methods they are not going to be great neighbours, so yes that manner her assassination is a point of concern to India.
Cheers!
Ram

The main concern is also that if they can kill people of their own country and that too the to be Prime Minister then how safe are our Leaders and the common masses?

Benazir’s assassination is a big blow not only for India but for the Indian subcontinent at large. No matter whatever she had done previously in promoting the ISI, this time she was serious about democracy in Pakistan. Her own personal future and that of her family was at stake. She wanted to return to Pakistan politics and maybe groom her son as the future heir (just like in India, and we in the sub-continent just cant do without heirs!). The situation in the Indian subcontinent has also changed over the years with people being quite dejected with militancy, more roads being opened, trade relations being resumed and some kind of normalcy being aimed at. Democracy was a serious option before Pakistan and hence the rush by the powerful there to eliminate her in such short time. It is definitely very very sad and the resulting turmoil will not be good for India.

I think there is going to be no change in the viewpoint of pakistan on india. Situation with uS or others can be different but not with India. Most of the terrorist of Pakistan are home breed and now they have come like frankeinstein. So i do not think it i sgoing to make any difference.

I really don't know and I don't really care. I know that sounds terrible but I live in Canada and it seems to me to be another world. I don't follow politics very closely so I don't know what will happen to the country. I am not surprised though that she was killed. A lot of people didn't like her and it was only a matter of time before she was killed. She knew the risks but she went back anyways. Why couldn't she just take her money and go live her life somewhere else. I know she probably loved her country and wanted to do some good for her people, but how much could she really do to help her people.

From my point of view ,now in Pak again dictatorship will be ruled for some time.
Mrs.Bhutto was the hope of Pak people toward the peace but now that hope is killed .
its very bad to kill the hope of others,a day is not so longers of the killers when there hope and life will be killed by supreme power(GOD)
