stretch marks

One of my friend started on weight lose programme she reduced weight but have some stretch mark in the skin is there any remedy to remove the stretch marks due to weight reduction. I think the best thing she could do it to keep her skin moisturized. Expensive creams which claim to remove the stratch marks don't work.
