Yes, our machines are 100% malware-free. But that's because I keep them locked down: http://invincible-windows.blogspot.com/

i am not really sure if i am secured or not. i have not checked on it. however so far, i have not encountered any problem with my computer. for my anti-virus, i have the free version of avg which i update everyday and run to check viruses in my computer. sometimes, it is able to catch some viruses.

I use the free version of Avira Antivir antivirus, which I find really good. I have tried nod32 in the past, and I have to say that it's not so good as they say. I used to run sygate personal firewall, until it got discontinued. After i tried a few other, I decided that the windows firewall, is the simplest way to do the task (monitoring outgoing connections). My router has a hardware firewall that monitors incoming traffic.
I avoid using outlook express an internet explorer. Doing all that, I think I have a pretty good level of security for my internet connection (as a home user). The biggest issue I think is the user. It is critical whether he will be careful or careless(opening spam, attachments from unknown senders, entering warez sites, or even directly downloading trojans/viruses/dialers etc).
