How many chances to you give someone?

I don't really count it. But I was with somewhat I had given a lot of chances. I think it's just a matter of waking up one day and realizing that you had given a person enough chance and you don't see any change in the person. And you tell yourself, it's time to give priority to your happiness now. Love does not have to hurt.

That one is actually hard for me, because I was married for 10 yrs to a man that treated me like I belonged under his shoe and than I was dating a man for 2 yrs and I just kept letting him get away with it until one day I woke up and said WHAT AM I DOING? I dont know if its stupidity, stubborness, or what but I try to give them every chance possible.
