I'm new...any advice on getting the best out of mylot?

Welcome to mylot. My only advice is to participate in some dicussions or topics that interest you most and I am pretty sure you will be rewarded with the inputs you've shared here. Other than that, add some friends so that they will be able to send some messages to you if ever you have problems or concerns. Happy posting! :-)

simply hang around and participate in the discussions that interest you. in my case, i learned from following the discussions here. i also asked some questions and people reponded. by asking this question, im sure you will get helpful and useful tips from mylotters. goodluck and enjoy!

I'll probably give you a more unconventional response than most but heed my advice and you'll get the most out of mylot. First, don't look at Mylot as a way to earn extra money. I could work at McDonald's for one hour and make more than I could in a whole week of typing at Mylot. Look at mylot as a way to discuss with a WIDE VARIETY of people from all different backgrounds about things that interest you, things you'd like to know more about, things you know about and can help others with. If you approach mylot as a community of people that you can form relationships with and benefit one another you're going to get a lot more out of it than you anticipated. I have formulated some phenomenal online business partnerships from meeting people with similar interests to me on Mylot, but the key is that I don't see them as a means to an end, but as someone who I can offer something of value to in turn for something of value from them, typically knowledge about something. You can post and make response and after you have join in discussion for 100 times you will get a reputation.The higher the reputatioin,the more you'll gain for each of your post and response.
