July 1996 the year I was on my honeymoon (now sadly seperated). I have very fond memories of The Gambia, visiting Katchikali crocodille park and meeting Charlie the crocodille and other crocs, could stroke them as they were sort of muzzled. Visited Brikama where amazing sculptures were made, bought a warthog sculpture back home. I remember going to the capital Banjul during our stay to look around the markets for crocodile teeth, found a few and had them set in gold for a necklace. Loved the jeep safari and visiting a school. Also visited Katchikali National Park and fed spider monkeys breadfruit from my hand.
