I don't think anyone knows their purpose in life. That is one of the great mysteries. My thoughts on it are that you live the best way you know how. For me, for now, I have decided that life is all about interacting with each other and making life enjoyable. If I can touch one heart today, even in some small way, today will have been worth living. I get 365 chances per year to get it right. Hopefully I make the best out of each one.

My purpose in life is something that I have been trying to figure out for quite some time now. The fact of the matter is- no one exactly knows what there purpose is. We just float around, hoping to land in an ideal location that we "enjoy". I hope that my purpose in life is to help others. Because helping others, I feel, is something that I am passionate about and would like to further persue when I become older.

this is a tough question. i think there is a certain stage in our lives where we ask this question. when i was young, i never had this question. life is to be enjoyed. now, i face the question more real. and i still find it difficult to tackle. i think my purpose is to be of service to others, in whatever i do. it is strange but i think that is my purpose. thank you for the question.

previous to parenthood i thought my purpose in life was to succeed at everything i attempt.. my parents would have had me believe in the christian belief system.. im more for science than religion though.. but since i became a parent i think my purpose in life is to ensure my children are better than me in every way possible.. more polite, smarter, better dressed, more liked, more respected, more everything.. regardless of how good or bad i did at anything i want them to have a better life and do better in life than i did and i think its my responsibility and a goal in my life to make sure that all happens

I've also contemplated that question since I was a young girl. My motto in my high school yearbook was from a Kansas song and it was: I walk the road of life among the strong, among the weak and I ask them for the answers to the questions that I seek. But no one seems to understand what is and what will be. Oh the questions of my childhood weave a web of mystery... I was blessed to find my purpose in life, although it is still unfolding before me each day and each year.. I had tried every avenue to find purpose but found it all to be ...meaningless. I had reached a low point in my life, sat on my bed weeping and found myself praying and asking that if God really existed, that he would reveal himself to me. He answered me and revealed himself to me through people that I met almost immediately who led me to the Bible. I had grown up going to church but never really understood that I didn't have to get it all right before I came to God but that He would accept me with all faults, weaknesses and sins if I would accept his sacrifice on the cross as payment for them. We traded, God and I. He took my sins and I accepted his sacrifice and his righteousness. I now can say my purpose in life is to know him better and better, communicate with him through prayer and reading the Bible which teaches me about who he is and how he has dealt with people all through the ages. It is HIS story and I am an important part of it. I seek to love him more, love and serve others and be open to wherever he leads me. I trust him completely and even in the mundane tasks of the day I can talk to him and pray for needs that people have. I love having purpose in my life. It makes life so much more enjoyable and worth the effort. I hope you will consider my claims. God has a special purpose for your life. He wants to use the special gifts and talents that he gave you. You may not even know what they are but he made you for a purpose. The Bible says: Ephesians 2:10 We are God's workmanship (work or art), created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. lol
