Any Problems in Uploading Pictures to Match the Discussions?

Hello to my dear friend.
Sometimes when I have already uploaded a picture to match my discussion, but I cannot see it down there when it is posted. Instead I happen to find it in another discussion that I have responded to. So the picture has gone to the wrong discussion without being in the right one. It is so annoying and discouraging. And also sometimes the picture just won't show up.
Have you ever experienced this same case as I have had, please? Any ways to help solve it, please?

Either one has to get the pictures first and try to construct a topic related to those pictures or think of the topic and search for a picture. Both seem to be somewhat inconvenient but the first one seem to be quite easiser than the latter.
I do the first one.

If you have made a mistake it is difficult for mylot to single out those topics and rectify. for them, it is mountains of responses. So the members have to be careful in uploading pictures. If wrong selection is made, it is gone for ever. Probably the second time posting with proper write up has not appeared because the algorithm considered it as duplicate., since first time it was already posted.

That is reasonable absolutely that it is not easy for mylot to find the mistake we have made in uploading the wrong picture to the wrong discussion, which is not our fault, but whose it could be? lol.

Hello dear ssh. When I was trying to start my previous new discussion last night, I uploaded the picture first before I started to type my thoughts into words and 'post comment', during which I responded to another discussion and was surprised to find the picture there in the wrong discussion while I could still see the picture here in the new discussion to be posted. But when it was finally posted, the picture was not seen there, which was really very annoying because I need the picture of the puppy and its master to be in my new discussion to make it more convincing to my new discussion. Anyway I succeeded later in reponding to my first responder and the picture is now there forever. I am now still happy for it, though not one hundred percent happy because not all the responders would find this picture. Thanks very much for your response, my dear friend.

Hi dear jisir, this had happened to me once and until today I still couldn’t find out where that photo had gone to. Yours was at least better. You could still know it had wrongly been sent to the comment for my response of one of your previous discussion. This would happen most probably due to you have opened more than a page or a tab at the same time. If we open several tabs at the same time we must be very careful and to make sure that it is sent correctly to the right destination. I did send comments to wrong discussions several times because of opening too many tabs as the same times lol....

Hello williamjisir,
No, I have not had problems with photos being uploaded to the wrong discussion however I've only uploaded maybe one or two when responding to a discussion. I do load them when posting a discussion and don't have any problems. When the photos come from my hard drive to the myLot site, it takes almost 10 minutes to upload. When the photos come from the internet, they are uploaded in seconds.
You might try to contact myLot and see if they have any suggestions. Sorry I can't be very helpful here.

I think it is another glitch of mylot.It had not happened to me yet. It is due to the fact that i rarely attach pic to my discussion. May be it is the reason for it.
You can check it with another discussion if still you are having prob.

i always encounter the same problems too. i would upload a picture to a discussion i'm responding to and the image would also appear to another discussion that i'm responding too. or, the image i'm uploading to the discussion i'm starting would also appear to a discussion i'm responding to. ^__^;; or worst, the image i'm uploading won't appear to the discussion i am starting. like the seaweed discussion i started and the one about my new niece, the pictures didn't upload. it's kind of annoying but i still didn't report it to myLot. i just thought it my computer's problem. ^__^;;

Hi william. That kind of thing happened to me several times. That's why I now make sure to finish uploading photos before I start responding to discussions. Before, I used to open a window for photo uploads and another window for responding to discussions. And like what happened in your case, the photos that I have uploaded went somewhere else!
I remember one time when a photo of a pink flamingo that I have uploaded went missing!I doubled check but it was gone. And I didn't know where it went. Then the next day, while I was checking one of the discussions I've posted....surprise!I found my pink flamingo!lol!

I have been grinding my teeth wit this problem Sir William, I just dont why it is happenning-yesterday 4 og my pictures were successfully uploaded, but when i posted my respons, the picture didnt show up-is mylot facing some problems with our pics? Thanks for bringing up this issue, I hope mylot gets notified

Hi friend, i have heard this problem before. From one of my friend told me about this problem. But it never happen to me. However i have some problem when uplodading in interest, they will not upload. It says Because of 3 reasons. But that is not reason.

I did experience that too. It happened when I was making response to Mylot using several browser windows at the same time. I think Mylot web page upload script is not meant for multiple browser working simulteneously. So for example, if you had created discussion A, and attached photo A. Before you submit discussion A, you had created discussion B or response B using another browser and upload it. Then the photo attached to discussion A will be uploaded for discussion or response B because Mylot script will treat it as attachment without recognizing that it's meant for discussion A. I think the best way to avoid this is attach photo A for discussion A and upload discussion A in proper sequence. Submit other discussion after all these had been done. It's really hilarous having irrelevant photos being uploaded for our discussion. I had done that and I had to explained to the respondents' question about the non-related photos. Tiresome, LoL!

Hello dear cheongyc. Yeah, you are right and I quite agree with your analysis to this problem. So now if I could remember, I would always just open one mylot windows while I am uploading a picture to match the discussion so that it will not go to another one that has nothing to do with it for me to avoid this wrong delivery of the picture. I think in the past I experienced the same problem. That is you probably open lots of windows of Mylot and you are posting it. Then when your photo is uploading, then it will go to another post. This is very strange. So after that, I will post another when I am sure the photo is uploaded to the right post. Happy New Year!:)

Good morning, my dear youless. You are right that the photo we have already uploaded will go to another post if we open more than two windows simultaneously. I have also discovered this and now I have been trying to avoid its happening again. It works well now if I upload a picture to match a discussion. Hi williamjisir have a beautiful day to you my friend. Frst of all I want to think that its just a server error or a server bug. Or maybe its the tags of your picture being automatically organize by ther server to put it in the right place. I never had that kind of problem before because I'm too lazy to do that. Even though i know its an additional point here in mylot I still don't do it. But for you my friend I will upload one to match this discussion.

Good afternoon, dear rosema. I just got up from my afternoon nap to read this response to my discussion with gratitude. I am very happy to tell you that I have got to know the answer to this.
It is because I have opened more than one mylot windows while I was uploading a picture.
To avoid this, it is better to wait until the picture is uploaded and ready to be sent before I open another window.

No I haven't experienced this because I don't download any pictures in mylot. I don't have any to download. But if this is happening quite often you may need to contact mylot and let them know. It must be a problem in their site and I think they would appreciate being notified about it so they can fix it.
