Alcohol drinkers

Okay this only popped up in my head today. Now I do drink but not everyday and usually I'll drink when we have family gatherings or a party to attend. What I am pondering is: Does it matter what you drink out of? taste perhaps? I am speaking of maybe drinking out of bottles to cans or plastic to ceramic cups? does the taste differ from drinking out of any of these?
