Identity of a body found

My brother is reported missing in Las Vegas, Nevada. A body was found and it is unrecognizable. A small part of a thumbprint was used and found that it matched 3 names in the system. How will the forensics or coroner determine if this is my brother?

A simple DNA test can be conducted to verify whether a family match can be made or not. I will say a prayer for you tonight. God bless!

I know they identify people through dental records, maybe that is the next step they will take.
